Finally watched the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. It actually wasn't as bad as I expected, the musical score and overall feel of the movie gave the same eerie-creepy feeling of the first movie. With a lot of the same scene's reoccurring in this one, with very little CGI effects keeping the kills very similar to the originals. Unfortunately the character of Freddy just looked like Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter and his voice was even less creepy with kind of a down-syndrome-esq feel to it. Plus in this version Freddy was a very creepy child molester who worked at a pre-school where all his nightmare victims went to school together when they were kids. Granted that in the original it was only thinly implied that he was a child molester, but they just took it to far in this remake, completely leaving out and dismissing Freddy as a child killer.
